Full Circle
This session was the last of 2016 and I could not have asked for a better way to round out my year. Michelle was my boss when I was working as a manager for Target. She is awesome and really has a knack for finding peoples strengths and passions.
Michelle was one of the first people, outside of my family, to really enjoy looking at my work and who felt like I had something with my photography. She told me I should be selling it and I will never forget sitting in her office, delivering my resignation so I could be a stay at home mom, and cracking a joke. I said something along the lines of "I may need you to hire me back once we run through our savings," (after-all moving from a double to single income family was a scary thing) and she told me I didn't need Target, I needed to start selling my photos!
Half a year later that is exactly what I did! And not because we were out of money, but because I finally realized what Michelle had seen long before me, I was head over heals in love with this stuff and wanted to immerse myself in my passion!
Getting to photograph Michelle and family felt like coming full circle for me. As scary as it was to leave my day job and eventually jump into my photography business it has been 10X more rewarding! It has been such a blessing to my family and I am grateful for people, like Michelle, who believe, support and encourage me to follow this dream! Enjoy their sneak peek!
